How we make money
Skrumble's business model is affiliate commission. Scoring is independent. Here's exactly how it works.
Affiliate partnerships
If you sign up or buy through a partner link on one of our reviews, the platform may pay us a commission. Today no outbound link on a review carries a referral code. Partner programmes differ: some pay a one-time fee per sign-up, others a share of trading fees.
What this does NOT change
- Scoring weights. Commission rates have zero weight in our scoring algorithm. The pillars and weights are public on our methodology page.
- Ranking order. Country guides list only products with a published review, and their order is an editorial judgement explained in each entry, not a ranking by what platforms pay us.
- Editorial decisions. No platform pre-approves what we publish about them.
Display advertising
Educational guides may show third-party display ads (e.g. Google AdSense). We do not show display ads on review pages, comparison pages, or "best of" lists; those pages are affiliate-funded only, to keep page experience clean and trust intact.
What you can hold us to
If you spot a score, claim, or fee that looks wrong, tell us. We correct the page and move its updated date, and the change and its source go into the page's research file.
