How we make money
Affiliate partnerships fund Skrumble. Scoring is independent. Here's exactly how it works.
Affiliate partnerships
When you click an outbound link to a crypto exchange or bridge from one of our reviews and complete a qualifying action (typically signing up and trading), the platform pays us a commission. Commission rates vary by partner — some pay a one-time CPA, some pay a percentage of trading fees for a lifetime.
What this does NOT change
- Scoring weights. Commission rates have zero weight in our scoring algorithm. The pillars and weights are public on our methodology page.
- Ranking order. Lists are sorted by overall score, not by what platforms pay us.
- Editorial decisions. No platform pre-approves what we publish about them. We've published unfavourable reviews of platforms we earn commissions from.
Display advertising
Educational guides may show third-party display ads (e.g. Google AdSense). We do not show display ads on review pages, comparison pages, or "best of" lists — those pages are affiliate-funded only, to keep page experience clean and trust intact.
What you can hold us to
If you spot a score, claim, or fee that looks wrong, tell us. Corrections are logged at the bottom of the affected review, with a date.
