De un vistazo
EURC is Circle's euro-pegged stablecoin and the dominant EUR stablecoin by market cap, holding ~41-50% of the segment at ~$444M circulating value as of May 2026. Issued by Circle Internet Financial Europe SAS under a French ACPR EMI license (1 July 2024) and the AMF's Article 60 MiCA CASP authorization (20 April 2026). Reserves are 100% euro-denominated, held at EEA-regulated credit institutions plus short-dated euro-area government bills. EURC has never broken its peg — including during the March 2023 SVB crisis and the Q1 2025 EUR-stablecoin shock that knocked three competitors down by up to 6%.
EU users wanting on-chain euro exposure without USD FX risk. Italian residents realizing crypto gains in 2026 (EURC qualifies for the reduced 26% aliquota plusvalenze vs 33% for USDC/USDT under the MiCAR EMT-in-euro carve-out). Builders deploying on Ethereum, Base, Solana, Stellar, Avalanche, or World Chain who need a MiCA-compliant settlement asset.
You need deep on-chain liquidity in DeFi (USDC is 50-100x more liquid). You're pricing your life in USD (US residents, USD-paid contractors). You trade primarily on Binance — EURC is not yet listed on Binance EEA as of May 2026 (Binance uses EURI instead). You hold via a retail wallet expecting direct issuer redemption (Circle Mint redemption is institutional-only; retail users exit via exchanges).
