BTCC Canada Review: Unique Features
Futures Copy Trading
The Futures copy trading feature offered by BTCC enables Canadian traders to mirror or mimic the trades of professional lead traders.
There is a current campaign that allows traders to copy trades without the risk of loss on their first trade (available for a limited timeframe).
BTCC protects your first copy trade from losses (as long as you’re a new user) for up to 50 USDT per trader but this is only available for the first 1,000 users who participate in the campaign. Coverage amounts are distributed on Tuesday and Friday during the campaign which ends on the 30th of October.
With the regular copy trade feature beginners can enjoy the successes of professional traders and minimize losses like professionals by simply mirroring their trades in real time.
A copy trader is allowed to follow a maximum of 10 lead traders but there are no restrictions on the number of trade orders that you can have open at the same time. The trading platform supports 143 USDT contracts for copy trading including ETCUSDT, ETHUSDT, CRVUSDT, BCHUSDT, BNBUSDT, 1INCHUSDT, ADAUSDT, ATOMUSDT, etc.
Beyond the perks copy trading feature offers to newbie traders, professional traders can benefit from the program through its lead trading function. As a lead trader, professional traders earn profit shares when newbies copy their traders. The more people following a lead trader the higher their earned commissions. Lead traders can have a maximum of 500 users copying them.
Currently, BTCC pays lead traders up to 15% in commissions for allowing their trades to be copied. The exact commission is dependent on the lead trader’s profit-sharing ratio.
To know how a lead trader will be renumerated, BTCC calculates the profit/loss of every copied order from the lead trader within the settlement period and then deducts the commission from all profitable trades. BTCC only pays lead trader commissions when there are no open positions between the copy trader and the lead trader.
BTCC uses a daily copy trading settlement system that starts at 16:00 UTC with the calculation of profit/loss happening from 16:00 UTC to 15:59:59 UTC every day.
Listed below are the 4 levels of lead trading profit sharing offered by BTCC. It is dependent on the trader’s 30-day average copy trading volume:
First Level (L1)
- 30-Day Avg. Copy Trading Volume (USDT): <0
- Profit Sharing Percent: 10%
Second Level (L2)
- 30-Day Avg. Copy Trading Volume (USDT): ≤ 50,000
- Profit Sharing Percent: 12%
Third Level (L3)
- 30-Day Avg. Copy Trading Volume (USDT): ≤ 300,000
- Profit Sharing Percent: 13%
Fourth Level (L4)
- 30-Day Avg. Copy Trading Volume (USDT): ≤ 1,000,000
- Profit Sharing Percent: 15%
To become a lead trader you must apply here. However, to be eligible you must maintain a balance of 200 USDT and not be following any lead trader. You must also not have an open copy trade position. Identity verification is required as well.
Cryptocurrencies Futures Pairs Supported on BTCC
Currently, BTCC supports more than 300 crypto assets for futures trading. Some supported crypto pairs include ETH/USDT, XRP/USDT, BTCUSDT, and SOL/USDT.
BTCC Canada Review: Fees
BTCC fees are based on the trader’s VIP tier, which depends on their overall 30-day trade volume or account value. When you create a BTCC account you’ll be placed in the VIP 0 tier with a taker and maker fee of 0.045% and 0.025% respectively.
For spot trading, you’ll be charged a 0.2% maker and a 0.3% taker trading fee. For withdrawals and conversion fees, you’ll be given a 10% discount after you’ve deposited the equivalent of 200 USD in CAD. For instance, on the VIP 1 tier, traders get a 10% discount on withdrawals and conversions and it isn’t dependent on the user’s 30-day trade volume. It is simply applied at 17:00 UTC from when the 200 USDT deposit was made.
Note that futures trading fees get as low as 0.01% and 0% for taker and maker fees respectively if you’re on the SVIP5 tier. To be placed in the SVIP5 tier you need a total account value of 3,000,000 USD and a 30-day trade volume of 1,000,000,000. On this tier, you get conversion and withdrawal fee discounts of up to 60% as well as a 35% coupon fee coverage rate.
Deposit and Withdrawal Charges
BTCC does not charge fees for cryptocurrency deposits but it does for withdrawals to cover associated network fees. The fees are based on the cryptocurrency you’re withdrawing. Here are the fees charged.
Trading Fees
The BTCC exchange offers various trading fee tiers based on the user’s 30-day trade volume and account-estimated total value. The trading fees differ based on whether the trade is a futures taker/maker transaction or a spot taker/maker trade. Here are the highlights of the benefits and discounts available:
Initial Deposit Benefit: Just by depositing 200 USD, users can immediately get a 10% discount on conversion fees and withdrawal fees. Additionally, users can enjoy a 10% fee coverage rate with coupons.
High Volume Trading Benefit: By meeting the 15,000,000 USDT 30-day trading volume, users can receive a 20% discount on conversion and withdrawal fees. Trading fees are also reduced to 0.035%/0.01% for futures taker/maker transactions. Users at this level can enjoy a higher fee coverage rate with coupons.
SVIP Benefits: Becoming an SVIP grants users exclusive benefits such as priority customer support, a dedicated account manager, and birthday gifts. For more details, visit BTCC SVIP Benefits.
Conversion Fees Discounts
Users on BTCC Exchange can get up to 60% off in conversion fees depending on their trading fee tier at the time of the transaction.
BTCC Payment Methods
